Early Enrollment Program
***This page will be updated annually in April, when Early Enrollment starts***
Information:
- Illinois participates in NEA’s early enrollment membership program.
- Non-members can enroll starting April 1st of the closing school year.
- Enrollees will immediately gain access to REA member only benefits such as, local voting, communications, website access, private FB group communications, meetings, etc..
- Enrollees will immediately be provided “no-cost” access to coverage under the NEA Educators Employment Liability (EEL) benefits and all NEA Member benefits (other than life insurance).
- this is a great opportunity to explore NEA summer savings!
- On 9/1 of the following year, new enrollees will have access to the NEA Complimentary Life and Introductory Life Insurance programs
- On 9/1 of the following year, new enrollees will be activated and have access to IEA benefits, IEA Legal and other protections.
To enroll, you will have to fill out and return the (2) forms below (* click on link):

- this year returning members are allowed a one-time in their career opportunity to join through early enrollment.

- Local Name & Billable Party = 2101 – Rockford Educ. Assn
- New Member Info = AC-1-100 (unless you will be part-time)
- IEA-NEA dues are determined by projected salary, please fill out salary and see the salary chart for the dues breakdown

- the local dues will not be determined until late summer
- once they are assessed, we will let you know
- FYI, the 2025-26 dues were $131.00
